Kbps or Kb/s
A measure of the speed of digital data transfer, in this case in thousands of bits per second (i.e. Kilobits). Sometimes expressed as just bits per second (bps), particularly when quoting analogue modem speeds (e.g. 33600 bps which is equivalent to 33.6 Kbps).
